Ao Kim Ngân a.k.a. Yatender, Vietnam based photographer, is a product of her generation and locale – only insofar as she has lived in it and always dreamed beyond its borders.
Film is the medium and the metaphor used to traverse a life full of stolen, fleeting moments. Yatender’s body of work is an unchoreographed, exposed archive of all that is real and visceral, by turns coarse, scorched, and softly lit, through the hazy focus of a mind in flux.
